I got one of these lovely fliers for Mia Bella gourmet candles. I was just flipping through the catalog and noticed a place for ordering at the back. The opposite page told of how to become a distributer. Well after looking closely there we NO prices for any of the products. Neither does the Mia Bella site offer prices. So how does one purchase the product? I suspect it nothing more than another pyramid scheme (amway). Where the real deal is to get more people under you to sell the product. Lets think about this....the more people selling the product...the less I will sell myself and them in turn. The commision off people under you is just a way to make you less suspicious. The only ones making money here are the people who own this bogus company!
Hello Rachel,
I would like to address some of the issues in your post.
First Mia Bella is not a pyramid scheme, I have been with them for nearly three years, and they are an excellent company that offers a quality product, and a fabulous business opportunity. They offer excellent training, and the owners avail themselves to you to address all questions, and concerns.
There are several ways to make money with this company, and yes one of them is recruiting. I am not a strong recruiter, and this is not the way I work my business. However if someone is interested in becoming a distributor I am more than happy to help them do so. In addition to recruiting you can do home, book, and office parties, fundraisers, retail sales, craft, and vendor events, and wholesaling. My personal emphasis is on retailing, craft, vendor events, and fundraisers with the occasional home, office, or book party when requested.
There are two ways that you can become a distributor. Candle of the Month, or as an Associate.
Candle Of The Month (COTM) is $39.95/mo, plus S&H, and includes a jar candle, a dozen votives, a bella soap bar, and a personal website.
You can join as an Associate for free, and you receive a discount on orders, but it will not be as much as if you joined as COTM.
I originally joined as an Associate, but sold so many candles I eventually switched to COTM.
As for the catalogs not having any prices, they are printed that way so that each distributor can set their prices either higher, or lower than the company's suggested retail, based on selling conditions in their area. I personally price according to the company guidelines, and staple a price sheet inside of each of my catalogs.
Additionally, the website does have prices listed. If you use the shop online button on the website, you will come to a welcome letter from the owners. Along the side you can click on the product you are interested in, and it will show each candle by scent, and the prices are listed. You can view the selection of items, and their prices on my website here.

I am sorry that you did not have a positive experience, and if you have any other questions or concerns I would be more than happy to help you.
Have a great day!
