Hello fellow entrepreneurs and opportunity seekers!
First, a little about myself and how I got into the network marketing business. My family and I live in sunny and warm Minnesota! Bet you've never heard that before! Well, it's sunny and warm in the summer. I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and am almost finished with my MBA degree from Hamline University. When I finished my undergrad, I went to work for one of the nation's largest retailers as an assistant manager. After just two years, I was promoted and received my first store as a General Manager. After another two years of this, I started to get "antsy" and wondered if there was something better out there for me. So, I started looking and landed at one of the largest wireless carries in the nation as a Sales Manager. I did this for about a year and then started to realize that retail management took up too many of hours of my free time and way too many weekends! I was envious of my friends who worked "corporate" jobs and that they never had to work a single night, weekend, or holiday. Well, I wanted it so much that I took a major pay cut and went to work for another of the nation's largest retailers.....only this time I went to corporate. Early on, it was great! No weekends. No holidays! No nights! I felt like I was living the good life! But, soon after, I started to get "antsy" again because it still wasn't the life I wanted. I was still working for someone else and I wasn't able to control my income or my future.
That's when I started to listen to the words of Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad) and Donald Trump (you know who he is, for sure). Both men had the same lesson to teach....to be ultra wealthy, you need to BE YOUR OWN BOSS! The message rang loud and clear with me. I really understood that concept because after working for three hugely successful corporations, I still wasn't happy being an employee.
In 2008, I started my own corporation called Max Enterprises, Inc. The tax savings alone that first year put an extra $10,000 in my pocket! One of my businesses is Wealth Masters International. I mean, I am a Master Consultant with Wealth Masters International, not the owner! But, being a consultant without your own business is such a waste of time and money! If you are acting like a business owner and investing in your business like a business owner, then you might as well start your own corporation!
