Mannatech Announces Ambrotose Study Results

  • A nutritional supplements maker known as Mannatech Inc. reported satisfactory results after a randomized, placebo-controlled study designed to test the biological effects of Ambrotose complex, one of Mannatech's chief products. Healthy middle-aged adults were each given a teaspoon of Ambrotose complex twice a day during the twelve week study, which seemingly lead to better results in memory tests as well as an overall improvement in mood.

The study took place at Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia and was designed and carried out by the university's own Talitha Best and Eva Kemps, as well as Janet Bryan of the University of South Australia. The results were published in the January 2010 issue of a peer-reviewed scientific journal called 'Developmental Neuropsychology'.

The scientific article indicated that subjects had completed standardized alternating memory and cognition tests while also reporting a significant improvement in their sense of well being.
