Monica Lindeen, Montana Commissioner of Securities and Insurance said Tuesday that ACN Inc. acquired the enlistments of hundreds of people by making false claims suggesting that members would large profits by recruiting new members and providing bogus services.
Services offered by ACN allegedly included satellite television, video phone technology, high speed Internet, and even home security services that the company's web site claimed was not available in the state of Montana.
The company's founders Gregory Provenzano, Robert Stevanovski, Anthony Cupisz and Michael Cupisz were eventually issued a cease and desist order after the state alleged that ACN recruited over 400 participants, amounting to a total of nearly $300,000 into the program.
