Herbalife Provides New Hope For Childrens Charities

  • The Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF) has established two new programs in Kiev, Ukraine and Turin, Italy, to help support better nutrition and kitchen renovation projects.

The Casa Herbalife program was created in 2005 to help bring good nutrition to children in need. HFF works with organizations to improve their ability to provide children with more nutritious foods. These two new programs mark the 54th and 55th programs worldwide, respectively.

Bereginya is an orphanage established in 1999 in Kiev, Ukraine, which offers supportive services to children ages 6 to 17. Currently, the orphanage houses 20 children and it offers enrichment programs in education, the arts, athletic activities and independent living skills. The grant will help fund the repair of the kitchen facilities, including electrical, plumbing, construction, and the purchase of new appliances. This is the second Casa Herbalife program in Ukraine and the fifth program in Herbalife's Russia/CIS region.

CasaOz Non Profit Association is a day center for sick children and their families based in Turin, not far from a local children's hospital. It began its operations in May 2007. The Casa Herbalife program will help provide daily meals for children and their families, and encourage them to prepare meals together within a safe and healthy environment. HFF will also assist with the renovations of their new kitchen facilities. CasaOz Non Profit Association in Turin, Italy is the second Casa Herbalife program in Italy and the 17th in Herbalife's Europe Middle East and Africa region.

HFF is a 501(c)(3), non-profit corporation dedicated to improving children's lives by helping organizations provide healthy nutrition to children at risk. Additionally, HFF often supports relief efforts in response to natural disasters.
