MOXXOR welcomes Ilios   Garcia as Chief Science Advisor to our team. It is with great   pleasure and excitment that we introduce Ilios to all of you. Ilios   specializes in natural medicines and biomechanics and has consulted for many large European supplement companies on production, formulation & market   targeting. Ilios brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company   and will be involved in all aspects on the product, from quality improvements   to answering science related questions.

Personal Background
Ilios Garcia was born in Bilbao (Spain) in 1975 as part of a very large family. At the age of 8 years old, he moved with his family to Barcelona to carry on his education at the local elementary school and was very active in sports. In 1992, at the age of 16 Ilios was influenced by his uncle to discover his passion for bodybuilding, and became an international bodybuilding instructor. Through this period his interest for exercise, health and medicine increased, to where he studied to become an aerobic yoga instructor and a neuromuscular re-programmer. It was during this period that he was influenced by her sister who was a professional ballerina, to enter ballet as a student. In 1995 Ilios was invited to be a part of the board of instructors for the national ballet team and was in charge of the classes for yoga, stretching and neuromuscular therapy.

Ilios achieved the highest level in his field, and was able to combine his passion for sports with his love for holistic medicines. He completed his certifications in nutrition, massage therapy, physical therapy, kinesiology, reflexology, osteopathy, naturopathy, traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture as well as actively studying psychology. Throughout those years, Ilios had the opportunity to travel to the USA and work in the Scottsdale Healthcare Hospital (Arizona) as a PTA. After this he came back to Spain where he continued his education and his multiple sporting activities including becoming certified in scuba diving, sky diving, as well as ice and rock climbing.

On completing of all his certifications, Ilios opened his own private clinic for full holistic medicine, combining his knowledge of sports medicine with his passion for natural medicines and his experience on manual therapy. He soon became well known in Barcelona, and became a member of the international board of teachers on several universities and organizations worldwide at the Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Kiev, Crimea, Odessa Universities. He also attended the CODEPE Organization in Mexico and Colombia. Through his business he provided consultant services for different large orthomolecular nutrition companies in his own country, advising on production, formulation, branding and market targeting. In 2010 he took the decision to close his business and move to his wife's home country of Japan with his 18 month old son. On 2 April 2013, Ilios was invited by MOXXOR founder John Turner to join MOXXOR as Chief Science Advisor.
