Life's Abundance Pet Foods is at the Right Place at the Right Ti
I've been in the premium pet product industry for several years as a merchandiser and retail rep for natural and holistice pet products from the US and Canada.
The natural and holistic pet product business has seen continued growth over the past few years even while the rest of America has been in tough economic times.
Growing population of Baby Boomers and empty nesters, life my own mother, spare no expense on caring for and treating their pets and have the income to do so.
The large pet food recalls of 2007 did a lot to wake up many pet owners about what was really going on in the pet food industry and made them question what exactly they were feeding their pets. They demanded higher standards, better quality and a better understanding of what they were buying.
The numbers show a massive market for natural or holistic pet products.
- 37.7 million US housholds have at least one cat
- 43.2 million US housholds have at least one dog
That means that nearly 2/3 of all US households have either a dog or a cat. Many have more than one or both.
- The Pet Product industry is a $41 Billion market and is expected to continue to grow to $52 Billion within the next few years.
These numbers are driving large businesses to look at the natural or holistic pet food companies and many well respected smaller pet food businesses are being purchased by large companies to capture some of the market.
Recently, well respected products like Innova, EVO and California Naturals were purchased by the giant Procter & Gamble. Just as Mars purchased Nutro shortly after the pet food recalls of 2007.
This is all fine and good, but the issue comes from the idea that after the recalls, many consumers simply don't trust large businesses after what happened in the pet food industry in 2007.
That was the attraction to smaller pet food labels like Innova and EVO to begin with.
As I stated at the beginning of this review, I have been in the pet product industry for many years and I can say from experience, pet owners and pet people demand a company and a product that they can trust.
I became aware of a pet food and treat line called Life's Abundance and began to research the formulations. Then I spent time on the phone with the formulator, Dr. Jane Bicks who herself was a well respected holistic Veterinarian.
Then I spent hours on the phone with the company leadership to get a feeling for the people behind Life's Abundance.
I became more than convinced that this was a company and a product that I could introduce to the pet owners, show people, sportsman, breeders and pet service business operators I was already working with.
The facts behind Life's Abundance
- Established in 1999
- Outstanding track record with the Better Business Bureau
- Debt Free
- No record of ever having a product recall
Even more amazing to me was how much of a ground floor business this still was and how much growth was ahead of this company and their products as more people become aware of them.
If you are the type of person who enjoys their pet, wants to insure they give their pet the best nutrition and products they can and enjoys talking to others about dogs or cats, Life's Abundance is a great opportunity to be a part of the growing natural and holistic pet product industry while helping pets and pet owners.
